Lye: Tributes paid to ‘kind’ and ‘generous’ man killed in crash

The family of a man who died in a crash have described him as a "pure soul with the biggest heart".

Zayn Ahmed, 21, died when the black BMW 325 he was driving struck "street furniture" on Stourbridge Road in Lye, just before 19:00 GMT on 10 November.

Two men, aged 24 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Both have been released on bail while inquiries continue, West Midlands Police said.

In a tribute, Mr Ahmed's family said his death was a "huge loss to all who knew him" and that he would be "deeply missed".

"Zayn was a loving son and brother, loved dearly by his friends and family," the statement said.

"He was always kind and was a generous, reliable young man who we were proud to call a son and brother.

"A gorgeous smile that could light the whole world up. He was a selfless individual who never failed to put the needs of others before his own."
