A man accused of inviting support for Hamas has denied the charge and told the judge he was "looking forward to the start of the trial".

Junaid Mayet, of Huddersfield, is accused of committing the offence in a video he uploaded to Facebook on 12 January last year.

The 55-year-old appeared at the Old Bailey earlier and pleaded not guilty to inviting support for a proscribed organisation.

He was bailed with conditions ahead of his next crown court appearance in Leeds in June.
