Man stabbed in 'attempted murder' - police

A man has been taken to hospital after he was found inside a vehicle with multiple stab wounds.
The man was found at about 04:50 GMT on Saturday in Almondbury, near Huddersfield, and was taken to hospital where he was in a stable condition, according to West Yorkshire Police.
A scene remained in place on Almondbury Bank on Saturday afternoon and a police spokesperson said the force was treating the incident as an attempted murder.
Police said officers had attended the area a short time before the incident after reports of a concern for safety and had taken a woman to a place of safety.
Det Insp Sarah Bradley said: "We are treating this incident as attempted murder and as a targeted attack.
"We have a scene in place and have significant enquiries ongoing to ensure the person or persons responsible are arrested and brought to justice."
Police added they would like to speak to anyone who had witnessed the incident or seen anyone behaving suspiciously nearby.
