Major investment planned for shopping centre

Plans to build new retail units and residential properties as part of the redevelopment of a shopping centre in Surrey have been unveiled.
Redhill Ventures Ltd, the owners of the Belfry Shopping Centre, have announced the start of local consultation to redevelop the site.
The proposal focuses on three sites on High Street and Station Road where a combined 21 retail units are proposed alongside 233 apartments.
Will Banks, development director at Running Hare Investment Management LLP, which is managing the project, said the three sites are "prime candidates for regeneration and improvement".
Three retail units, one restaurant unit and 72 apartments are being proposed for the corner of High Street and Cromwell Road. This site includes the now-vacant Tower pub.
There are also plans for ten retail units and 89 apartments for the High Street site, which includes the entrance to the shopping centre.
Six retail units, one restaurant unit and 72 apartments could be built on the third site, which covers the shopping parade near to the Station Road centre.

Mr Banks added: "We have already started dialogue with our tenants affected by the proposals, and we expect to have more detailed discussions going forward about options for relocation."
Public exhibitions will be held at the shopping centre on 11 July between 13:00 and 17:00 BST and on Sunday 12 July between 10:00 and 14:00. A zoom presentation is scheduled for Monday 13 July.
