Man charged after teenager stabbed in Newcastle

A man has been charged after a teenager was stabbed in the face in Newcastle, County Down.
The 25-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The incident happened on the Dundrum Road at 19:45 BST on Friday.
A 16-year-old boy, also arrested, has since been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
Police said the victim, aged in his late teens, sustained a number of stab wounds to his face and head.
The man charged in connection with the incident is due to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Monday 14 April.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a call at 19:38 GMT and despatched one emergency crew to the incident.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken, by ambulance, to Ulster Hospital Dundonald," said a NIAS spokesperson.
