April start date for work on multi-storey car park
Construction work on a multi-storey car park in Bridlington is due to start in April.
The 426-space development, which was given planning permission two years ago, will be in Beck Hill, between Manor Street and Hilderthorpe Road.
It will be owned and operated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The project, which is expected to cost about £15.5m, has been designed to create the impression of a wave and is due to open in spring 2026, the council said.
The authority said the project was part of a wider strategy to boost economic growth in the seaside town.
Council leader Anne Handley said: "The new multi-storey car park will not only address current parking challenges but also support the town's regeneration by making it easier for people to visit, shop and enjoy everything Bridlington has to offer."
