Bridlington's lifeboat station has issued its latest campaign for people in difficulty at sea.

The events are funded by the government as part of the £200m Flood and Coastal Innovation Programme.

The annual event will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Sewerby cliff top.

To achieve the status, a beach must meet the criteria set by Keep Britain Tidy, including high water quality.

The club aims to pass rugby balls 100,000 times in just 90 minutes.

A series of events will be staged across the region on the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe.
