Police given more time to quiz acid attack suspect

Detectives investigating an acid attack in Plymouth have been given a further 24 hours to detain a suspect in custody.
Devon Magistrates' Court granted a warrant to allow Devon and Cornwall Police to detain the 25-year-old man from London after he was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The force said officers were continuing to investigate the serious assault which happened on 21 February at a property in Lipson Road.
The victim, a man in his 30s, remains in a "serious condition" in hospital, police said.
Police added: "A 25-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody while enquiries are ongoing."
