Man in court over £200,000 cannabis discovery

A man has appeared in court after cannabis plants said to be worth about £200,000 were seized in Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland said a cultivation of about 245 plants was discovered in Ellon on Friday.

Hung Nguyen, 38, of Aberdeen, appeared at the city's sheriff court charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
