New mobile libraries for Highland communities

Small communities across the Highlands are set to benefit from two new mobile library vehicles.
Highland Council has purchased the vans for £332,000 and they will take to the roads across the north and west of the region this summer.
These areas have been relying on a temporary delivery service.
High Life Highland (HLH) which runs the mobile library service said it was "brilliant news" for rural communities.
HLH chief executive Steve Walsh said library services across Scotland were under pressure.
He said he hoped the provision of the vans would reassure communities that the council and HLH were committed to investing and future-proofing the Highland service.
