Four people were attacked by a man carrying a knife in a Birmingham street, police say.

On Saturday, West Midlands Police said one person had been taken to hospital after being injured in an alleged assault involving a knife in Blenheim Way, Kingstanding at about 06:30 GMT.

Appealing for information about the incident on Sunday, detectives said that four people were "slashed at" with a possible fifth victim they were trying to trace.

No-one was seriously injured, the force said, but confirmed a 32-year-old man remained in custody over the assaults.
