'I could play golf but I'm too busy driving'

An 84-year-old who volunteers as a community bus driver insists he has no plans to retire anytime soon.
Frank Bemrose is a trustee for the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Dial-a-Ride service in North East Lincolnshire, which provides transport for people with illnesses or disabilities.
The pensioner, who has been driving with the service for eight years, is helping with efforts to recruit more drivers, and is asking for more people to come forward.
"Anyone can do it, and it's a massive help to people in the community who rely on the service to get them out and about," he said.

Mr Bemrose described the friendships he had made over the years, and said his passengers sent him letters and cards when his wife died 18 months ago.
He said: "The satisfaction I get from helping people is great, too. I helped one woman who said she hadn't left the house in two years.
"Something as simple as getting to the shops isn't possible without us for some people. They can't make it to the nearest bus stop and certainly can't carry any shopping home if they can.
"It keeps me active and healthy. I could play golf or just do nothing, but this makes sure I'm busy, and I'm helping people at the same time."
