Joanne Penney died from gunshot wound - inquest
A woman killed earlier this month died from a gunshot wound to the chest, an inquest has heard.
Joanne Penney, 40, was found by police, lying on her back and unresponsive on the living room floor of flat 10, Llys Illtyd, Green Park, Talbot Green in Rhondda Cynon Taf at 18:10 GMT on Sunday 9 March, Pontypridd Coroner's Court heard.
A post-mortem examination gave a cause of death as "gunshot wound to left chest, involving heart and left lung pending toxicology and microscopy".
Senior coroner Graeme Hughes said Joanne Penney's death clearly involved "violence" and adjourned the inquest due to the ongoing police investigation into her death.
