Watch moment Vladimir Putin announces 'Easter truce'
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced an "Easter truce" in its war with Ukraine.
Putin said there would be a temporary pause in fighting from 16:00 BST today until 22:00 BST tomorrow (00:00 Moscow time).
In his announcement, he said Russia would assume Ukraine will follow the truce but it is unclear whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accepted the terms or if it had been discussed prior to his video message.
Zelensky said on X that air raid alerts were being heard across Ukraine and "the drones in our skies reveal Putin's true attitude toward Easter".
