London Marathon: TikTok Bus racer shares last-minute tips

While thousands of runners have been logging their miles or taking to treadmills in preparation for this Sunday's London Marathon, one east Londoner has taken a more unconventional route - racing against the capital's buses.

Jordan Izzett, 24, first decided to race London's buses to improve his health after lockdown. He now uses that same method as part of his marathon training.

He ran the marathon for the first time last year but said it went "went horribly wrong" as he ran out of electrolytes and started "cramping up".

Determined to avoid a repeat, Mr Izzett, who posts videos of himself racing buses on TikTok, has adapted his training to include a variety of runs.

Ahead of the weekend's event, he has shared some of his tips with BBC London.
