Motorcyclist in hospital after car crash in Cound

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was in collision with a car in Shropshire.

The crash happened at 18:30 BST on Saturday on the A458 in Cound, close to the Riverside Inn restaurant, and involved a Honda Fireblade motorcycle and a Volkswagen Golf.

The biker, a 42-year-old man, remained in a serious condition, police said.

West Mercia Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
