A developer is seeking planning consent to build 250 new homes in Stoke D'Abernon.

The new homes in Long Ditton could be up to three storeys tall, according to planning documents.

The 22 members of the climate change citizens' panel will make recommendations to the authority.

Surrey County Council says the new Weybridge Library Hub will open in August.

Elmbridge Borough Council says the land will be sold once permission to develop the site is granted.

Active Surrey says the council and partners will instead provide opportunities for youngsters.

The proposal by the county council is to reorganise councils in Surrey into two unitary authorities.

The government is expected to make a decision on the final proposals by the end of 2025.
