Residents, businesses and organisations raised £70,000 to pay for the pump track.

The glasswork was created in memory of Brendan Wignall, who ran Ellesmere College for 27 years.

North Wales Police says the crash happened on the A495 close to Whitchurch on Tuesday afternoon.

Fundraisers had until 31 March to collect the remaining money needed for the track.

The council is aiming to raise £70,000 in total, with about £7,000 still needed before Monday.

Ellesmere Town Council says the trees are lifting the pavements and causing trip hazards.

The track will feature rollers, berms, and jumps, allowing people to build skills and have fun.

Concerns from residents about speeding on the A528 were raised at an Ellesmere town council meeting.
