The owners of the former South Lakes Zoo want to open an attraction in the Yorkshire Dales.

The zoo, which has been at the centre of welfare concerns, says it has already rehomed many animals.

South Lakes Safari Zoo, which has been at the centre of welfare concerns, will close on 31 December.

Bosses at the attraction say they are working to find long-term homes for the animals.

Accompanied by police, the 4.8 metre wide generator will be transported across northern England.
