More trains are travelling from London to Kent and Surrey in the early hours of 1 January.

The first train ran through the affected area at around 05:00 GMT on 27 December.

A problem at Portsmouth and Southsea station meant some services were cancelled, delayed or revised.

There will be several closures through Woking over the next two weeks.

Network Rail says the line between Guildford and Effingham Junction will close on 21 December.

Services on Southeastern, Govia Thameslink Railway and South Western Railway will all have changes.

Buses will replace trains between Farnborough and Woking throughout the festive period.

With winds of up to 50mph forecast, some events are being cancelled because of safety concerns.
