About 200 footprints made by dinosaurs 166 million years ago have been unearthed in a quarry in Oxfordshire.

The lycopsid fossil was found in Saltern Cove during a survey at the site.

The skeletons - two Allosaurus and one Stegosaurus - date back approximately 150 million years.

The complete skull is one of the most significant finds of its kind, say researchers.

The new species has been discovered by a research team lead by the University of Oxford.

Isle of Wight Council says the fossils date back more than 100 million years.
