Extra patrols after broad daylight stabbing

Patrols have been stepped up in an area of Coventry after a man was stabbed in an attack in broad daylight.

Police said the victim, in his thirties, suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening during the incident on Bell Green Road.

He was taken to hospital at about 13:30 BST on Saturday, with extra officers remaining in the area throughout the day.

The West Midlands force has asked anybody with information to get in touch.
