Biker who died in crash with van named by police

A biker who died in a crash with a van in Argyll has been named by police.
Julien Marchand, 48, was riding a Triumph Tiger on the A819, near Tullich, when it collided with a Ford Transit van at about 16:00 on Friday.
Emergency services were alerted but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for 10 hours to allow for an accident investigation to take place. The driver of the van was uninjured.
Mr Marchand's family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.
Sgt Kenneth Malaney said inquiries to establish the full circumstances were ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact the force on the non-emergency line.
