Humber Bridge reopens after crash

The Humber Bridge is now fully reopen following a crash, officials have said.

One lane of the A15 northbound carriageway, between Barton and Hessle, was closed after a collision earlier.

A spokesperson for the Humber Bridge said traffic management was in place at the A164 Wingfield Roundabout while works are carried out on the adjacent Bridgehead site.

The restriction would remain in place for the next three days until works are completed, they added.

The spokesperson said: "Whilst we have no control over this restriction, we recognise that it is currently impacting users travelling northbound and this will continue, especially during peak times."

As the number of running lanes has reduced, they are advising users of the bridge to allow more time for their journeys.
