Multiple crews have been called to a fire involving four homes in a residential street in Leicester.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze in Stuart Street at about 12:29 BST on Tuesday, with eight crews sent to the scene.

Narborough Road had been closed while emergency services attended, with it reopened just after 17:00, Leicestershire Police confirmed.

The fire service said the blaze was in the roof space of the four properties.

The brigade added no injuries had been reported so far.

Residents had been urged to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke.
