Man hit by a car dies from his injuries

A 70-year-old man has died in hospital, six days after he was hit by a car, Lincolnshire Police said.

The collision happened on Bridge Road in Long Sutton at 22:25 GMT on 1 March.

The man, who has not yet been named, was airlifted to hospital but died at 06:30 GMT on Friday, the force said.

A force spokesperson said the man's family were being supported and the investigation into the incident was continuing.
