Work to upgrade A9 between Moy and Tomatin begins

Construction work has fully begun on the next stage of the £3bn A9 dualling programme between Inverness and Perth.
Six miles (10km) of the trunk road from Moy to Tomatin, south of Inverness, is being upgraded under a £185m contract.
The Scottish government has faced criticism over its handling of the overall project following delay which have resulting in the completion date being moved back by a decade to 2035.
Transport Secretary Fiona Hyslop visited the new construction site to see the progress being made - including the start of work to realign the Dalmagarry burn.
A prior information notice has also been published for the section of the A9 between Pitlochry and Killiecrankie.
The notice is to alert people that a contract for the scheme will soon be put out to competitive tender.
Ms Hyslop said she was delighted that this "major milestone" in the dualling programme had been reached.
She said plans had been made to overcome engineering challenges on this section of the road.
