A drug dealer has been jailed after being caught in a taxi with £23,000 worth of heroin.

Police officers found Keren Kumar in the back of a Toyota Prius when it was stopped on Jimmy Hill, Coventry, in November last year.

A roadside search of Kumar found 1kg of heroin inside a zipper bag hidden in an Asda bag, as well as a piece of heroin concealed in his sock.

The 32-year-old of Foleshill was sentenced to three years and six months at Birmingham Crown Court on 25 April for possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, after changing his plea to guilty.
