Two men will face trial next year for allegedly attacking a journalist working for an Iranian television channel.

Nandito Badea, 20, and George Stana, 24, both from Romania, are charged with wounding with intent over the stabbing of Iran International's Pouria Zeraati in Wimbledon last March.

The defendants appeared at the Old Bailey by video link from Belmarsh prison to confirm their names and dates of birth before being remanded in custody.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb set a plea and trial preparation hearing for this April and a provisional trial at Woolwich Crown Court for May 2026.
