A man has appeared in court after the drinks of two women were reportedly spiked in a pub.
Police said officers were called to The Standing Order Wetherspoons in Derby on Thursday at about 23:00 GMT by concerned bar staff.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at the Iron Gate premises and was later charged with two counts of administering a noxious substance and remanded into police custody.
The man, of Chellaston, Derby, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was released on conditional bail to appear in court at a later date.
