Seven arrests and weapons seized after street fight

Seven people have been arrested and weapons seized following a street fight in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Alfreton Road, at about 23:55 BST on Wednesday, to reports a group of men were involved in an altercation.
One man is being treated in hospital for serious injuries, a force spokesman said.
The road has been closed in both directions at the junction of Raleigh Street. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
Police said after receiving descriptions of the suspects, it conducted searches and recovered weapons.
Seven men, aged between 23 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of affray and are currently in custody.
One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, while another was additionally arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Det Insp Luke Todd said: "Detectives will now be carrying out a thorough investigation into what happened.
"Alfreton Road is likely to remain shut for some time while we deal with this incident and I'd like to thank motorists for their patience."
