The festival celebrates spring, love, and new life

Hundreds of students gathered at a university to celebrate the Hindu festival of Holi.

The Hindu Society at the University of East Anglia in Norwich arranged for hundreds of people to celebrate on Saturday.

The spring festival of Holi symbolises the victory of good over evil and marks the end of winter.

Vidhi Kapadia, dance co-ordinator for the Hindu Society, said: "Who doesn't like throwing colour on people?"
