Football club announces name change

AFC Wulfrunians Football Club says it is to change its name at the end of the season after 20 years.
The club, which competes in Midlands Football League Premier Division, said it was "going to be renamed and rebranded to give us a stronger identity of our own" and would become Wolverhampton City Football Club.
Established in 2005, the club, which plays at Castlecroft Stadium in the city, said it was an offshoot of Old Wulfrunians FC which formed in 1922.
"This is just the new start for the club and we hope you will all continue to be part of the next adventure," it said in a statement on social media.
Responses to the statement online have been mixed, with some supporting the move and celebrating the inclusion of the word "city" in the title, while others suggest a dent to legacy, with one calling it a "terrible decision- 20 years down the drain".
The club, 12th in its league, six places above Wolverhampton Casuals, said it hoped the local community would embrace the change, adding it planned to develop the junior team.
"The last two decades have been amazing - full of highs and of course a few lows," the statement continued.
"There have been memorable moments and incredible friends made throughout the years and we would like to thank everyone that has contributed to the club during that time. Without you it would not have been possible."
