A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a man was knocked down and killed.

The man in his 30s died on Pembroke Road in Wigan after he was struck at about 06:00 GMT, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

The force said a woman in her 20s had been arrested and bailed while officers continued to investigate.

They have appealed for anyone who saw the man being hit, or who had dashcam or doorbell footage relevant to the investigation, to come forward.
