A man has been left with a broken hand after a hit-and-run crash in Plymouth, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened under a railway bridge between the Pennycomequick and North Cross roundabouts last Thursday.

The force said the man was crossing the road at some point between 21:30 GMT and 22:00 when he was hit by a vehicle, believed to be a dark blue or purple Nissan Qashqai, which left the scene.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and anyone with information or dash-cam footage has been asked to contact police.
