Woman's death not suspicious, police say

A woman's death which prompted a police investigation has been ruled as not suspicious.

North Yorkshire Police said officers were called by the ambulance service to a property in the Tang Hall area of York at about 09:45 GMT on Sunday.

A woman in her 40s was found dead at the address, the force said, with a man in his 40s arrested in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson said following a post-mortem examination they had ruled out any third-party involvement and the arrested man had been released with no further action.
