50 firefighters tackle industrial unit blaze

The fire spread to two units in the industrial estate

More than 50 firefighters have spent the night battling a blaze at an industrial unit in Hampshire.

Crews were called shortly after midnight to the two-storey building off Eastern Road, Aldershot.

Eight fire engines, two aerial ladder platforms and other specialised vehicles were involved in bringing the fire under control.

It was put out by 03:30 GMT but police and fire crews remain on the scene while investigations continue.

More than 50 firefighters were called

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire spread across two units in the building with crews using aerial platforms to tackle the blaze.

Residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed.
