A man in his 80s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman.

Bedfordshire Police was called to a property in Kingsbury Avenue, Dunstable, at about 13:40 GMT on Thursday after reports a woman had injuries.

The woman, also aged in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Det Insp Verity McCann said: "One person is currently in custody in connection with this incident and an investigation is now ongoing."
