A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car on a residential street in Leeds.

The crash took place on Lea Mill Park Drive in Yeadon at about 14:45 GMT, West Yorkshire Police said.

A spokesperson for the force said emergency services remain at the scene, describing the incident as "ongoing".

The BBC has contacted Yorkshire Ambulance Service for comment.
