Man dies after five-car crash on M1 junction

A man has died following a crash involving five cars off the M1 in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called to the Nuthall Interchange, off the northbound junction 26 slip road, at 18:41 BST on Friday.

A man in his 50s died at the scene of the crash and other people involved in the crash were taken to hospital suffering a "range" of serious injuries, according to Nottinghamshire Police.

The northbound and southbound junctions were closed after the crash but reopened at 05:15 on Saturday.

Specialist officers are currently supporting the man's family, the force said.
