Man arrested over woman's death is released

A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Stamford has been released with no further action.

Lincolnshire Police said officers called to a property on Northumberland Avenue at 13:54 GMT on Sunday, where a woman in her 40s was found dead.

Inquiries into the "unexpected death" would continue, the force said.

Officers appealed for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to contact them.
