Fire crews tackle blaze at former city pub
Firefighters have spent hours tackling a blaze at a former pub in Norwich.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said seven crews were sent to the Cat and Fiddle on Magdalen Street after it broke out at about 14:50 BST on Thursday.
A number of roads had to be closed and neighbouring shops were evacuated, with residents urged to avoid the area.
The crews were stood down just after midnight on Friday, after using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

BBC Radio Norfolk's Jack Maclean said the blaze appeared to be in a flat above the pub.
"You can see how badly damaged the roof is," he said.
"There are tiles missing on both the front of the building and the back."
No injuries have been reported.
