A petition calling for urgent safety measures to be installed on the A37 has garnered hundreds of signatures, with Somerset Live reporting on how there have been several deaths on the road in recent years.
Hundreds turned out for a rally in Bristol in support of trans people, with speakers including the city's Green MP Carla Denyer, following Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling on the definition of a woman.
A nightclub in the city has ramped up security, requiring everyone who enters to carry two forms of identification in a bid to stop needle spiking, with private paramedics also hired to patrol the dancefloor.

Six teenagers have been charged after a 14-year-old boy was attacked outside a school, the Swindon Advertiser reported.
