Police are hunting the owner of a "bull breed dog" after a three-year-old boy was bitten in West Lothian.

The child, who was not seriously hurt, was bitten outside the ScotMid shop on Drumshoreland Road in Livingston at about noon on Friday 2 May.

The fawn-coloured dog was wearing a black harness and lead. The owner left the scene of the incident.

He is described as white, about 6ft, of stocky build with light-coloured short hair. Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses.
