British national detained in Bali drug probe

A British national has been detained in Bali on suspicion of being involved in a drug network.
BNNP Bali, the government body responsible for tackling drug offences in the Indonesian province, issued a video featuring a number of suspects arrested as part of what they believe is a Hungarian-Bali drug network.
It features a British national they refer to as TP, who is understood to be a man from West Cumbria.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are supporting a British man detained in Bali and are in contact with the local authorities."
Authorities have not formally charged the man, but in the video he is referred to as one of seven "tersangka", which means suspects.
In the video, Head of BNNP Bali, Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat, explained the suspect was arrested in front of a villa in the Kerobokan area of North Kuta, and that he had just arrived from Thailand.

He was receiving a package from a motorcycle taxi, which authorities said was found to be just more than 2.3lbs (1kg) of MDMA - also known as ecstasy.
The video showed officers destroying the drugs seized as part of the operation.
If he is charged, the maximum penalty is death or life imprisonment.
