Carriageway closed following bus blaze
A road was closed on Saturday evening and throughout Sunday following a single decker bus fire.
Crews from Launceston Community Fire Station attended the bus fire on the eastbound carriageway of the A30 between Stowford Cross and Sourton at about 19:25 GMT.
The fire service said on arrival the bus was "well alight" and that crews from Okehampton Fire Station were already in attendance.
Devon and Cornwall Police closed the eastbound carriageway between Launceston and the A386 Sourton Down while National Highways crews carried out "essential maintenance work" and said nobody was injured in the incident.
On Sunday, National Highways said the road reopened, but one lane remains closed to assess the damage caused by the fire.
It said the carriageway was likely to remain closed until 06:00 on Monday for "emergency resurfacing" and there were "no significant delays" reported on the route.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the bus on the dual carriageway was "severely damaged by fire".
The fire service said: "The cause of the fire was accidental."
