A man has been charged with impersonating a police officer in connection with an incident in Silsden, near Keighley, earlier this year.

James Waddilove was arrested following the incident on 28 February when three children, all aged 12, were reportedly approached by a man in Bell Square.

Mr Waddilove had also been charged with two counts of assault, according to West Yorkshire Police.

The 41-year-old, of Thrush Walk, Waterlooville, Hampshire, had been bailed and was due to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on 24 June, a force spokesperson said.
