Roads ban for drink-driver four times over limit

A woman who was more than four times over the drink-drive limit has been banned from driving for 30 months.
Michelle De Gray, 46, from Axminster, was found to have 143mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath after she was stopped driving along George Street in the town in March. The legal limit is 35mg per 100ml of breath.
The mother-of-two admitted to drink-driving at Exeter Magistrates' Court.
The court heard De Gray had alcohol issues and difficult personal circumstances, with her lawyer saying custody would be justified for such a reading. However, magistrates said she would not be jailed, but imposed a 12-month community order with mental health and alcohol treatment requirements.
