Girl hit by car has life threatening injuries

A 16-year-old girl is being treated for life threatening injuries in hospital after she was hit by a car in Cleethorpes on Saturday evening, Humberside police said.

Officers said a grey BMW was travelling towards St Peters Avenue before it collided with a girl who was crossing the road on Cambridge Street at about 20:27 BST.

The force said the emergency services attended, and the girl was taken to hospital to receive treatment.

Police asked for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage around the time of the collision, to contact them.
