Plans for a major fashion and homeware retailer to open a new branch in a Norfolk town have been accepted.
Breckland Council approved plans for Next to open at the former Carpetright store in Thetford's Forest Retail Park.
The Carpetright store closed, along with outlets in Dereham and Norwich, after going into administration in July 2024.
Work on the unit is expected to begin in the next couple of months and it is scheduled to open later this year.

Next has other Norfolk outlets in King's Lynn, Great Yarmouth and Norwich, with the nearest to Thetford being at Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
Breckland Council has granted Next permission to revamp the existing unit, including an internal mezzanine and shopfront windows.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service reported Next aimed to increase the shop floor space within the unit, which is currently of "insufficient size" for the retailer.
After the closure of the Carpetright outlets in Dereham and Norwich, the Sprowston Retail Park branch, just outside Norwich, remained open.
